My First Project - Donate A Library
To realize my dream of having more young readers in the Philippines, I looked for existing projects which I can support and stumbled upon the excellent work that the National Bookstore Foundation has already started - the Buklat Aklat Program.
In a nutshell, I am raising money to fund the donation of one library to a public school that currently does not have enough reading materials for its students. The cost is at least P135,000 for one library. I am hoping to reach this amount in time for the school opening this June 2010.
